Overwatch 2 Season 3 Credits

Overwatch 2 Season 3 Will Add Credits, ‘On Fire’ System, and Hero-Based Progression

Overwatch 2 Season 3 will be getting some big changes, including the reintroduction of Credits, a revamped “on fire” system, and a brand new hero-based progression system. There will also be changes to the hero gallery, ranked matchmaking, and competitive system, as well as a nerf to Ramattra’s Annihilation ability.

Overwatch 2 Credits are no longer called Legacy Credits

Starting in Season 3, players will be able to earn Credits in Overwatch 2. The Battle Pass will offer 1500 Credits reward along the free track with an additional 500 Credits available along the Premium track. As such, they’ll no longer be known as Legacy Credits. Legendary skin prices will be reduced to 1500 Credits in the Hero Gallery, and seasonal skins will always be available for purchase. Blizzard is looking into more ways for players to spend Credits in the future.

Other changes that will occur in Season 3 are matchmaking improvements and updates to the competitive system. Finally, Ramattra will get a nerf to his Annihilation ability so that the timer is not paused if enemies are within range and there will be a 20-second cap. This is to make sure the character is not too overpowered.

Later on in the year, Blizzard is intending to revamp the “on fire” system so that it better represents when players are having a great match. Finally, they’re also preparing a hero progression system, although this is in its early stages. More information is promised for the future.
