Hardware Spotlight: Ewin Racing Gaming Chairs

If you’re like me and you spend a lot of time in your home office or wherever your desk is located, then it’s important that you have a comfortable chair so that you won’t spend your days hunched over, with your spine repositioned into a 90-degree angle. Over the years, gaming chairs have become the go-to choice for those who are going to be staring at a screen for hours at a time, with them being purpose-built for extended use. Ewin Racing is steadily becoming one of the more popular names on the market, and after trying out the company’s Ewin Flash model, it’s not difficult to see why.

My previous office chair had seen better days, and while it was relatively comfortable considering its price point, it wasn’t exactly built with the curvature of my spine in mind. The leap to the Ewin Flash was a dramatic departure from what I was accustomed to, and it’s made a world of difference already. Maybe now I’m not going to have debilitating back problems when I’m older!

Ewin Flash Review: Supreme Comfort

The Ewin Flash is Ewin Racing’s top-of-the-line model, available in normal and XL sizes. I’m not a particularly tall or wide man so I opted for normal, though the same features are present in both. Ergonomically designed, the Ewin Flash comes equipped with two cushions, which are used as a headrest and for lumbar support. The positioning of the cushions can also be readjusted thanks to the stretchy material lining the back of the chair.

As you’d expect, the height of the chair is adjustable, though it also comes equipped with a lever operated back recliner that allows for 85 – 155-degree adjustment. Yes, you could effectively go to sleep in this chair, though the back recliner is intended to maximize your comfort, not to give you the option for an afternoon nap while working or playing Overwatch.

Also handy are the 4D adjustable armrests, which slide forward, back, left and right, which allowed me to neatly fit my chair beneath my desk and under my pull-out keyboard table. The armrests can also be adjusted clockwise and counterclockwise, offering a lot of space if you’re like me and like to spread out a little more at your chair.

The Ewin Flash is made out of sturdy memory foam with a durable steel frame, meaning that while it is exceptionally comfortable, it’s also remarkably sturdy. After spending a little under a week in this thing, I can already feel the backache that I would get from my previous chair steadily subsiding, and the positioning of its cushions helps a great deal with my posture. No longer do I need to slump myself over the side of an armrest to relax; this chair is plenty comfortable without me having to contort myself into awkward positions.

In terms of design, I opted for the model with the gray stripes and it looks great. The Flash model also features curved sides that fit around your shoulders, and it foregoes the often ostentatious design of other gaming chairs, looking much more respectable in the process.
