This Week’s Game Releases are pretty tasty, with PS4 exclusive Detroit Become Human, Xbox One zombie survival game State of Decay 2, and Dark Souls Remastered heading a line-up that is going to give us plenty to play across the next seven days. May has been pretty dry for new games thus far, though this week certainly heats things up a bit, and there’s plenty of releases to sink your teeth into if you’re on the lookout for something to play.

Detroit Become Human
Release Date: May 25
Platform(s): PS4
Quantic Dream’s choose-your-own-adventure game sees players assuming the role of three androids, who are each struggling with their own consciousness in a world in which they’re treated like property. Previously responsible for the popular Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, Detroit Become Human is Quantic’s first PS4 game, and it looks set to provide a thrilling sci-fi story in which the player’s actions affect the story.
State of Decay 2
Release Date: May 22
Platform(s): Xbox One, PC
State of Decay 2 is the follow-up to the popular 2013 zombie game, with it offering a survival experience that offers a barrage of intense moments in its post-apocalyptic open world. Zombie games aren’t exactly uncommon, but the previous State of Decay attracted a huge following on Xbox Live, and its sequel is likely to receive a similar reception. If you’re in the mood for bustin’ some undead skulls, this is your best option this week.
Dark Souls Remastered
Release Date: May 25
Platform(s): PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC
Dark Souls is one of the most important and enduringly popular games from the last console generation, and Dark Souls Remastered looks set to introduce the action-RPG to a brand new audience. With improved visuals and performance (Blighttown now runs in 60 fps!), if you haven’t yet played Dark Souls or if you want to re-experience the classic From Software game, you’ll want to jump on this remaster.
