FlexiSpot E7Q Odin Desk Review

FlexiSpot E7Q Odin Desk Review: No Compromises

The FlexiSpot E7Q Odin desk is the company’s new flagship product. It aims to deliver “the greatest support and stability” thanks to upgrades like its four motors and a solid carbon steel construction. For those with the money to invest in a higher-end desktop solution, this product is likely on your shortlist. To help you with your buying decision, here’s my FlexiSpot E7Q review.

Heavy lifting

FlexiSpot E7Q Odin Desk Review

Setting up the FlexiSpot E7Q is fairly simple, thanks to the clear manual. These detail the included parts, accessories, and step-by-step instructions. However, the sheer weight of the parts could present some challenges and I would highly recommend getting an extra person to help. Also, depending on the tabletop surface you pair with the E7Q, you may have to drill additional holes for it all to fit together.

The good news is that, once it’s all set up, the FlexiSpot E7Q delivers on its promise of excellent support and stability. It can handle a whopping 200 kg of weight, which is plenty for my desktop PC, two monitors, and peripherals.

FlexiSpot E7Q Odin Desk Review

Even at the maximum height of 1.255 meters, the E7Q has minimal wobble, which is often a pain point for other standing desks at their maximum height. As someone who needs the desk at that maximum height, I’m very happy with how little wobble there is.

Tabletop size flexibility

FlexiSpot E7Q Odin Desk Review

When it comes to compatible tabletops, the E7Q supports widths between 1.2 – 2.4 m and depths of 80 – 90 cm. While it’s possible to use any piece of wood as a desktop and drill your own holes, FlexiSpot does offer its own worktops in four different colors/materials. However, even if you do buy from FlexiSpot, you may still need to drill holes for it to fit the E7Q properly.

Right from the get-go, it’s clear that the E7Q is built to last. The materials chosen for this product are clearly top-tier, and the presence of four motors is reassuring. If it somehow fails within the 10-year warranty period, FlexiSpot can be contacted about repairs. User reviews suggest that customer support is good.

Control at your fingertips

The E7Q control panel boasts the latest features, including: height profiles, child lock, and anti-collision. That latter function has been a game-changer for me, as it’s prevented my chair from getting crushed on multiple occasions.

Final Verdict

At $899.99, the FlexiSpot E7Q Odin desk is priced like the flagship product it is. However, it also boasts the features you’d expect from a flagship, with unmatched stability and quality of materials. It looks fantastic, too.

For those looking for the best of the best in standing desks, with the budget to go high-end, the FlexiSpot E7Q Odin more than deserves to be on your radar.
