Final UX3000 SV Review

Final UX3000 SV Headphone Review

The Final UX3000 SV headphones are a follow-up to the popular UX3000, implementing improved sound, noise cancellation, and other tweaks in an attempt to make it the definitive version. Users are promised better separation and clearer vocal reproduction, along with an enhanced ANC. After testing the Final UX3000 SV for music and movie listening, it’s time for my review.

Vocals at the forefront

Final UX3000 SV Review

The driving force behind the Final UX3000 SV is the custom 40mm dynamic driver. This is contained within a special chamber designed to enhance vocals. As someone whose main focus when listening to music, movies, and podcasts is the singer or speaker’s voice, this is something I can appreciate.

When it comes to codec support, keen listeners will be pleased to learn that AAC, aptX, aptX HD, and SBC are all supported with Bluetooth 5.0 and multipoint pairing.

ANC features

Final UX3000 SV Review

What’s especially interesting about the Final UX3000 SV’s active noise cancellation is the ANC Only mode, which allows users to turn on ANC without audio playing. This is great for forcing silence without the need to also play music.

The active noise cancellation itself works through two microphones, which combine with the passive noise cancellation of the earpad seal to make for a surprisingly good experience, especially considering the price versus the competition.

At a comfortable listening volume of 70%, I regularly got 24-25 hours of listening with ANC enabled. Without ANC, battery life can be boosted up to 35 hours.

The downsides

Final UX3000 SV Review

When it comes to downsides, the obvious outdated spec is Bluetooth 5.0. While it’s perfectly fine and will get the job done for the majority of users, it just stands out on the spec sheet as old tech.

Another downside is that, for the price, the Final UX3000 SV doesn’t come with a hard-shell case. Only a soft pouch is included. Sure, the headphones fold neatly, making them easy to store, but the lack of a hard case limits out-of-the-box portability.

Final Verdict

At $149.99, the Final UX3000 SV strikes a solid balance between performance and value. The sound is clear, the noise cancellation is effective, and the battery life is more than enough for daily use. While there are a couple of small trade-offs, the overall experience feels polished and dependable, making these headphones a smart pick for most listeners.
