Interestingly, the AC: New Horizons May Day event is scheduled to overlap with the Nature Day celebration, meaning that two events will be running at the same time. Players will have almost a full week to enjoy the Animal Crossing May Day event on Nintendo Switch next month, as the scheduled start date is Friday, May 1 and the planned end date is Thursday, May 7.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons May Day exclusive island tour

Animal Crossing: New Horizons May Day

While the May Day Animal Crossing: New Horizons event is underway, players will be able to acquire a May Day Ticket that can be taken to the airport and used to embark on an exclusive May Day island tour. This tour is only available during the limited-time event duration and is different from conventional Nook Miles Mystery Island Tours.

The exclusive island appears to take the form of a hedge maze, which could make navigating it somewhat puzzle-like. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons May Day reveal trailer also offers a glimpse at what appears to be Rover lurking in the background. Rover is a cat character that’s featured in previous Animal Crossing games, but what part Rover might play in the New Horizons May Day event remains to be seen.
