Valorant Agent Skins | Can you unlock character outfits?

Valorant Agent skins

As of writing, there are no unlockable skins or outfits for Agents in Valorant. What you see is what you get in the game and you cannot add a little splash of individuality with Agent skins or outfits. For now, at least, each character in Valorant cannot be altered with an outfit or skin. You’re stuck with how each of the Agents in the game looks. As Valorant is currently still in beta, though, it’s not too much of a stretch to suggest that Agent skins could be added to the game later on.

As explained in our Valorant loot boxes and microtransactions guide, character skins are something the development team is “interested in exploring” (H/T: Polygon). For now, though, Agent skins are not in the game as the developers didn’t wish to put them in at first due to fears of their potential negative impact on gameplay. Different character skins can be difficult to spot or make you stand out more easily over different backdrops. The Agents have been designed so to provide what should be a good balance on all maps.

When the developers figure out how to add Agent skins in without any impact on the gameplay, outfits should be added into the game. Unfortunately, we cannot say when this will happen. It’s safe to say that we won’t see Valorant Agent skins until after the game leaves its beta. At least you can get hold of sprays and weapon skins, for now, to add a little splash of color.
