Much like the original, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us 2 has widely been received as a masterclass in video game storytelling. Most notably Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson return as Joel and Ellie, respectively, who players already know from the first game. Elsewhere, Abbie voice actress Laura Bailey and Mel actress Ashly Burch should be well known to pretty much any gamer. Bailey plays the likes of Kait Diaz in the Gears of War series, Nadine Ross in Uncharted, and Mary Jane in Marvel’s Spider-Man. Burch — originally of Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’? fame — depicts Aloy in the Horizon series, Parvati Holcomb in The Outer Worlds, and Tiny Tina in the Borderlands games.
