The Assassin’s Creed Mirage book puzzle in the “Serpent’s Nest” mission is one of the few puzzles in the game. It comes out of nowhere and might catch some players off-guard. It seems easy, but there’s a trick to it that makes it a little harder. Here’s how to solve the book order puzzle in AC Mirage in “The Serpent’s Nest.”
What is the book order solution in AC Mirage?
The book order puzzle solution for Qabiha’s hidden chamber in AC Mirage is spelled out in Asib’s poem that Basim reads. It mentions oceans, deserts, cobras, and doves, all of which hint where to place the books. These correspond to the colors of the books: blue, yellow, black, and white. That is the correct order of the books, but there is a catch. Putting the books in that order will likely not work. Instead, you have to think backward.
The white book must go in the far left slot.
The black book has to go be in the second slot.
The yellow book goes in the third slot.
And, finally, the blue book goes into the slot on the fourth slot on the far right. Doing this correctly will open the door to Qabiha and let players continue on their mission to kill her. There will be a short cutscene that shows the hidden passage, too.
This puzzle may seem backward to a lot of players, as putting the blue book first and white book last does not work. However, this is likely due to how Arabic is read. Arabic is read from right to left, which likely explains why this puzzle is “backward” to a lot of players. Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not really explain this inside of the game, though, which makes this book puzzle in Qabiha’s quarters a bit confusing.
