Many fans want to know if Like A Dragon Gaiden new game plus exists. Given that a handful of prior Yakuza games in the series have Premium New Game or Premium Adventure mode of some kind, it would make sense that this latest installment from developer Ryu Ga Gotoku would have one too. But considering that it’s looking likely that this game will be the last main game to feature Kazuma Kiryu and that the game is about half as long as other entries in the franchise, there is some concern that the finale cut-scene sequence is indeed final. Is there Like A Dragon Gaiden new game plus?
Yes, the new game plus mode called Premium Adventure is in Like A Dragon Gaiden.
Before you enter the last story sequence of the game, you’re shown a pop-up message telling you that this will be the last block of free time that Kiryu has. Once you finish the game, though, you can make a new save called Premium Adventure. Loading a save file with Premium Adventure puts you right before the final sequence so that you can explore Sotenbori to your heart’s content.
On top of that, you will be able to return to Yokohama, which is inaccessible after the first chapter of the game until this point. There’s not much you need to explore there, though, apart from a few shops and restaurants. At any rate, Premium Adventure is the right time to complete all of the sidestories and Akame Network requests you didn’t finish. You can also finish leveling any fighters at the Coliseum and conquer every challenge in Platinum Cup.
