Metal Gear Survive Review Coverage Will Appear Post-Launch

Metal Gear Survive review coverage will appear post-launch, with outlets not being able to play the game until its official launch today.

Review code was sent out to gaming sites last week, though a software update was required in order to access the game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Konami didn’t set an embargo for review coverage, but as it was impossible to play it until February 20th, reviews have understandably yet to appear online.

Our lead editor Jason has been busy playing the co-op survival game since it went online, so expect his final thoughts to be posted sooner rather than later. Fortunately, its early teething issues have been addressed by Konami thanks to its update 1.02, so those who were previously unable to play the game can now jump right in.

Metal Gear Survive is one of the most divisive games of 2018, with it being the first released Metal Gear game since the series’ creator Hideo Kojima left Konami in controversial circumstances. Survive is now being developed by Konami, with it focusing on multiplayer survival rather than stealth, veering away from series’ tradition.
