EA is giving players a chance to have a say when it comes to picking the best players in the world. FIFA 18 Ultimate Team has its standard Team of the Season unveiling coming April 27 – but there’s a twist: the 23-man squad will be decided entirely by us, the fans.
While the FIFA 18 Ultimate Team TOTS will not feature the outright best-of-the-best but, rather, players who haven’t received an In Form or Special card this season, there are still plenty of outstanding soccer players to choose from.
Some of the big names that are eligible for the vote include Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy, FC Barcelona’s Gerard Pique, Monaco’s Thomas Lemar and even FIFA cult hero Adebayo Akinfenwa.
Being compiled into a 100-man shortlist chosen by EA, the hopefuls for the FIFA 18 Ultimate Team Community TOTS can be voted on in one of two ways. First is through FUTHead’s community voting page (you must have an account to vote) or through FUTWiz’s voting page. This differs slightly as you’re asked to pick an 11-man squad of attackers, midfielders and defenders to ensure an even spread in positions.
Voting closes April 27 and it appears that the 23-man team will appear in packs that weekend, possibly alongside the overall FIFA 18 Team of the Season which, you’d imagine, would star the likes of Mo Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
You can view the full 100-man shortlist here, should you need a bit of help on who should get the nod in the end-of-season celebrations. Votes will only be counted once, though you can make multiple accounts if you want to be a naughty so-and-so and rig the vote. For shame.
