Anda Seat Kaiser 2 Review: ‘Large and in charge’

ANDA SEAT KAISER 2 GAMING CHAIR REVIEW. This is it: the biggest of the big gaming chairs! Designed for bigger and taller users, the Kaiser 2 is itself extra large. Happily, I’m a little larger for life myself, making me the perfect candidate for testing out one of Anda Seat’s flagship products. This is the GameRevolution review.

Easy buildin’

Anda Seat Kaiser 2 review

Unsurprisingly, given that the Kaiser 2 is essentially a less-branding-heavy version of the Fnatic Edition I reviewed previously, the build process was basically the same. New builders will require around 15-20 minutes to put this beast together. While it’s possible to do it alone, I would recommend an extra pair of hands to make the process much easier. There aren’t many parts to assemble, but a couple of them are heavy and unwieldy.

When it’s all put together, it’s time to stand back and admire the behemoth now sitting in your office or bedroom. Buyers should not underestimate the Kaiser 2’s dominance. It is larger than the Dark Demon and larger again than the Jungle.

A matter of size

Anda Seat Kaiser 2 review

At 6’7″ and 110 kg, I was ready to give the XL Kaiser 2 a thorough testing. Like I saw with the Fnatic Edition, this chair provides comfort where smaller chairs have sometimes failed. My weight wasn’t an issue for the 160-degree recline and I feel confident that the Kaiser 2 will support much heavier users. It is a tank.

When it comes to materials used, the PVC leather provides a stylish appearance in either a black or red color. It’s the same kind of material used on the Fnatic Edition that my partner has been daily driving since August and that still looks brand new.

The “4D” armrests, which can be adjusted in four planes of movement, provide support but are still soft to the touch.

The supplied neck and lumbar support pillows are covered in the same PVC leather used on the chair’s body. Both cushions are of the larger size, which I’m fondest of. (The large lumbar pillow is exclusive to the black version, according to the Anda Seat website.)

Sizable yet subtle

Anda Seat Kaiser 2 review

While I’m an avid gamer, I don’t necessarily want the chair I work and play in to be overtly gamer-y. Sometimes subtlety is nice and the Anda Seat Kaiser 2 delivers that. Despite being massive due to targeting larger people, its design is rather muted. The black colorway I have here blends in nicely with my black desk and peripherals. For those who want a bit more flair, the red(-ish brown) version is worth a look.

As expected, the Kaiser 2 mirrors the super simple build process and support for big and tall humans that I first saw with the Fnatic Edition in my initial Anda Seat review.

I should also mention that my 5’10” partner has been using the chair without issue, too. While the chair is primarily for larger users, it’s also perfectly functional for smaller folks who just love a big seat!

Anda Seat Kaiser 2 Review: The final verdict

Anda Seat Kaiser 2 review

As one of Anda Seat’s flagship chairs and larger products, the higher price tag of $499.99 is unsurprising. It matches up with the competition. Designed to be sat on for hours on end each day, the lifetime warranty on the steel frame and two years on parts offer some assurance that this will stand the test of time.

If you’re reading this review shortly after it goes live, the chair is currently discounted on Amazon.com. It’s got $96 off and comes with the usual confidence of buying through Amazon.

Those that miss out on the above deal should still remain vigilant on future Anda Seal sales, as the company has them pretty often. However, even when buying at full price, I’m happy to say that the Kaiser 2 is a beast of a chair that is large and in charge, offering a fantastic seating experience that’s specially catered to bigger and taller users.
