While Anthem is currently in the hands of those lucky enough to have early access, it is releasing for the rest of us on February 22, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The online multiplayer action RPG from EA and Bioware features a leveling up system, but what is the Anthem level cap? Read on to discover all you need to know about the Anthem max rank.
Anthem Level Cap | What is the max rank?
Unlike other RPGs, which allows players to reach the giddy heights of level 99 or higher, Anthem‘s level cap is rather low. The Anthem level cap is 30. At the time of launch, you will only be able to reach level 30 in Anthem. While it sounds low, however, your character does level up a little differently in Anthem than what you might be used to.
Levels in Anthem are called Pilot Levels and you won’t earn stat boosts upon leveling up. Much like in Destiny, you will be able to find, unlock, and equip more powerful equipment, rarer items, and Inscriptions upon leveling up. What’s more, you will also unlock new Javelins, Forge Slots, and Match Consumables when you reach set Pilot levels in Anthem. Check out our Anthem Pilot Level rewards guide to find out what you unlock and when.
Anthem Level Cap | How to level up in Anthem
To level up in Anthem, you will need to complete Feats and Expeditions. Doing so will award you with Experience Points (XP). Completing Contracts, too, will award you with XP. We’ve got guides on how to unlock Legendary Contracts and how to replay Contracts in Anthem. Completing Contracts will also earn you rewards, so they might be the way to go if you’re looking to reach Pilot Level 30 quickly.
BioWare and EA may decide to increase the Anthem level cap in the future, however. This has happened before in a fair number of games, so there is no reason it couldn’t happen again in Anthem.
