Is a Ready or Not PS5 or PS4 release planned? The tactical shooter in the style of classic SWAT or Rainbow Six games is out now on PC in Steam Early Access and some console owners are understandably a bit envious and are wondering whether there is a Ready or Not Xbox release date planned for either PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, or even Game Pass? How about a Ready or Not Switch release, a platform that doesn’t really have any tactical shooters? Let’s see.
Will there be a Ready or Not PS5, PS4, Xbox, and Switch release?
At the present time, Ready or Not is only available for PC on Steam Early Access and is not available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. Although, developer Void Interactive has stated it may bring the game to consoles in the future.
Ready or Not is a tactical shooter in the style of early Rainbow Six games or SWAT 4, and it was made in the wake of the current Rainbow Six game Siege becoming more console-orientated, being faster-paced than older games in the series, and with more focus on multiplayer. RoN has been in development for a very long time but it is finally out on Steam and is defiantly a PC game.
However, players on consoles hoping to experience a more cautious and old-school take on the tactical shooter genre can still hope for a release outside PC, as VOID Interactive has said that it may bring Ready or Not to other platforms “depending on the reception of the final game.” The reception on Steam has been pretty good so far considering the early access beta has only just released, however, console shooter fans shouldn’t expect to see it on PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch until Ready or Not leaves early access — which may be at least a year from now. For now, console tactical shooter fans will have to stick with Rainbow Six Siege.
