The much-anticipated Diablo 4 Season 1 patch notes has finally arrived today, July 18, for build 1.1.0a. Many fans have been waiting with bated breath with these release notes, because they were expected to have a large number of nerfs to the most popular builds in the game. Well, that assumption was right. The latest patch is meant to reduce the effectiveness of the most powerful builds of every class, be it with Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Sorcerer, and Rogue nerfs, so that Season 1 is fresh for all classes from the start. Here are the most notable changes, nerfs, buffs, and fixes in the Diablo 4 Season 1 patch notes:

  • 6 Unique Items – Ahavarion Spear of Lycander (Staff), Azurewrath (Barbarian Sword), Fleshrender (Druid Mace), Lidless Wall (Necromancer Shield), Eaglehorn (Rogue Bow), The Oculus (Sorcerer Wand)
  • 7 Legendary Aspects – Audacity, Craven, Ancestral Charge (Barbarian), Subterranean (Druid), Gore Quills (Necromancer), Pestilent Points (Rogue), Searing Wands (Sorcerer)
  • Bug Fixes – Numerous fixes to local co-op issues, many problems with Dungeons and Quests
  • Barbarian – Hammer of the Ancients skill with Aspect of Ancestral Echoes has been nerfed, and stacking Berserk Ripping, Skullbreaker, and Anemia aspects has been nerfed too
  • Druid – Stormclaw’s Aspect has been nerfed so that Shred builds no longer do a lot of damagea
  • Necromancer – Cancelling Blood Mist no longer resets its cooldown
  • Rogue Awakened Glyphstone now spawns for rogues using Improved Barrage
  • Sorcerer – Fixed issue where Aspect of Control was applying its damage bonus 3 times
  • General – Altar of Lilith and Map Discovery is now account wide, PS5 controller now compatible with PC version, completing Whispers gains a lot more XP, Greed shrine scales much better
  • Level Requirements – Sacred items will cap at Level 60 while Ancestral items will cap at Level 80
  • Enemy Scaling – Monsters will now trail behind players in level in World Tier 3 and 4
  • XP Boost – Killing monsters higher than the player has been significantly raised
  • Helltide – Mystery Chests now cost 250 aberrant cinders instead of 175
