NIS America has today revealed the Langrisser I & II release window for all available platforms. There is still something of a wait for the HD remake bundle, as the Langrisser I & II release date is scheduled for early 2020 on Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4. The game is available to preorder right now, however, including its physical special edition. This classic turn-based strategy RPG is being brought straight into the 21st century thanks to a whole host of upgrades over the original games.
Early 2020 is a vague release window, unfortunately, but we at least now know that it is releasing early in the year for the platforms listed above. Langrisser I & II brings together both of the original Langrisser games in one package. Both games have been remade with brand-new HD visuals, newly re-orchestrated music, a new localization, and plenty of quality-of-life improvements to the gameplay and other systems over the original releases. Langrisser was originally known as Warsong here in the USA, which released on the Sega Genesis back in 1991. Langrisser II, however, has never made its way West before now.
Heading over to the Langrisser I & II section of the NIS America store, you can place a preorder right now for the game’s Limited Edition. This is a physical copy of the game with plenty of bonuses on either PS4 or Nintendo Switch, and it will set you back $79.99. Included in the Limited Edition of Langrisser I & II are a copy of the game, an art book, an Original 2-disc soundtrack, a Songs of War 3-disc soundtrack, a Collector’s Box, and Collectible art cards.
