No Man’s Sky Cross-Play | Is NMS multiplayer cross-platform?

Whether or not No Man’s Sky supports cross-play is a question that’s on every fan’s mine now that the game has proper multiplayer. It would be great to be able to play cross-platform No Man’s Sky so everyone on Xbox One, PS4, and PC could explore together regardless of what system they own the title on. Unfortunately, like with many titles, cross-play probably isn’t in the cards for NMS owners.

Does No Man’s Sky support cross-play between Xbox One, PC, and PS4?

As of writing, No Man’s Sky does not have cross-play support. There’s no specific reason given as to why cross-platform multiplayer isn’t provided. Despite how much fans want cross-play in games, the truth is not many games support it.

Whether it’s a technical hurdle or some sort of issue with Sony, Microsoft, or Valve not wanting to cooperate, No Man’s Sky won’t have cross-play for the foreseeable future.
